The Town of Shelter Island now requires all commercial carters to obtain a license for commercial waste hauling within the Town. To see the revised Town Code, Chapter 73, please click here. The fee is $100 for a license and permit for one vehicle registered, and an extra $10 for each additional vehicle registered. Forms can be picked up from the Highway Department office or Town Hall, or call 631-749-1090 to have them faxed or emailed to you.
